Would like to acquire copy right to some of his songs to make vinyl discs.....

Any ideas? Don't refer me to MCSK please.

I don't think you can avoid MCSK, even KIPI refers guys to them when it comes to music. They are nasty and I can guarantee you that they'll hunt you down. The other problem is they'll be coming to collect royalties from you annually.

Are you looking for Kenyan rights?

By the way, was he of Les Wanyika or Simba Wanyika? Was the bank Kenyan or Tanzanian?

BBI will solve it

Issa Juma was a member of the Simba Wanyika which consisted of Kenyans and Tanzanians. He later split with the John Ngereza group to form Les Wanyika. At least three members of Les Wanyika are still around but looks like Tom Malanga could be the guy to talk to about rights.
Issa later quit Les Wanyika to form Super Wanyika and produced few hits like Ateka and Sigalame but was later jailed for being in Kenya illegally resulting in integration of the band.

Thank you. Will look for Malanga then and see if we can have an arrangement.

I always thought he was a Mwana wa Ingo. There was one song where he actually used Luhya words:

"Kwa nini waniacha eh na mimi nakupenda we.
Mwana wefwe ohh.......Mwana wefwe"
