There is no security system that cannot be broken into!

Please stop buying second hand spare parts. If you love your car enough to buy it a hot system, then you should buy genuine spare parts.

I am hundred percent sure that if guys only in sk stopped buying at kirinyaga road, kwa yule jamaa hakosi spare,we can reduce car theft by 1%. Thieves only steal when there is a market.

Just stop buying bogus and obviously stolen car parts for 1k and I am very sure that car theft will be a thing of the past. No self respecting car thief steals a Toyota in other countries. Trust me,I know :)

I agree with Sigiriri - I've spent more than a year without a boot lock on a Peugeot. Also its VERY easy to pop the door locks. Hell,I even keep the spare UNDER the boot in that cage (though you need a jack to press the cage and release the tyre).

Recently in westlands traffic, just after the mall and before Consolata Shrine, two guys came out of nowhere and popped the indicator lights of a Spacio - in SECONDS - and vanished into thin air. Lady driver was left mouthing WTF? OMG!

In Ug its the same but extends to side mirrors and even wipers!!!!

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

My summary of security is as follows:-

Jesus- God will protect, remember the story of the family that had no time to pray and said Jesus can stay at the boot. At the time of accident the eggs did not break
Insurance- At least there will be some compensation
Alarm and the rest though not a solution if you are the driver as said below

HAve a secure weekend.

I have seen some funny ways of late, a sort of metal block placed under the accelerator and locked in place such that you cannot depress the pedal, gear lock, wheel clamp ( very effective), removing the drivers seat at night, ignition key blocker, speed lock where the maximum speed is lowered to less than 1kmph.

I am guilty of using the metal block. Very effective kwanza with a Viro Padlock. Fabricated by a jua kali welder. Locks all the pedals in such a way that they cant be depressed and literally uses a padlock. Damage is only 1500 for the padlock and whatever your welder will charge you. Very effective.
