Also, I think our foreign debt has gone up by around 50B from this move to 102.80.
Kumira kumira.... This is peni mbili thinking Pray tell, will KES "depreciation" affect exporters negatively? This will actual HELP the economy by making consumer imports that do not add to the productive capacity of the country (eg luxury cars) more expensive. Key word.... possunt quia posse videntur

Pls check imports vs exports, it will shock you. Why do you think CBK has been managing the rate so closely? Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

I was in town today and I noticed the populace is significantly lower than usual. Is this a sign that the economy is not doing well or could it be as a result of strict traffic (Michuki) rules pushing idlers out of the city?. ....He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion..

Cargo charges on the standard gauge railway (SGR) from Mombasa to Nairobi will rise by up to 79 per cent from January 1 in bid to raise more revenue to pay the Chinese operator. Kenya Railways said the cost of transporting a 20-foot container from Mombasa to Nairobi will increase to $500 (Sh51,275) from Sh35,000, a 46.5 per cent rise Hauling the larger 40-foot container will cost up to Sh$700 (Sh71,785), from the current Sh40,000, reflecting a 79.9 per cent rise. This is partly the Kashogi death divided. The Saudis are desperate to appease Amerika, hence are opening the crude oil taps. Trump just confirmed as much in one of his many twits. "The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth." (Niels Bohr)
