Gakuo died serving a term for cemetery land fraud. Gakuo means death. The irony!
Life is short. Live passionately.

That headline the in the standard says it all "Man who changed Nairobi dies in prison"
The irony of it all the ones who messed it up akina Zippy wandera, the ones who supplied chalk instead of chlorine, the ones who stole the mayor's golden chain, the ones who grabbed the public utility plots got away with it. I'm sure even Kidero will go scot-free.

Even if i say the truth here, about what happened, it will not change a thing, it will be lost in the sea of noise.
I know Wazuans are learned people, connected people.
Go read the procurement laws of the time.
Talk to your friends in the know.
Read the court proceedings and you will know the truth.
I am sad as i know the truth yet I have realized the truth cannot set you free.

I leave with a message i will paraphrase from Icharus.

In the fight against corruption,
You cannot be 50% honest.

You have to be honest,
Or you have to hide the ends.

It’s the same as Orwell, 1984

Corruption is like a religion,
And you cannot escape.

You have to think about money,
But you cannot steal money.

It’s like being married.
You think about other women,
But you have to remain married and but you want to sleep with other women.

But again almost everybody at some period in their lives sins,

So what to do?
There is no answer.

Rest in peace Gakuo as I know you did not steal the Money.

Rest in peace John Gakuo. When old men die in prison, the cities are dying.
