That’s why I think there is more than meets the eye in this story. Rejection alone cannot cause somebody to react in such a barbaric way especially since they had not been romantically involved before. There really wasn’t any feelings that the guy felt had been betrayed. If this was a crime of passion, the temporary madness that followed would have probably resulted in the guy blackening up the young lass’s eye and at worst doing a Chris Brown on Rihanna kind of damage. But this was very deliberate, the guy/guys who did it tied her hands behind her back, possibly raped her and then slit her throat. I think this is bigger than just the guy getting rejected. This was a hit. Too gory.

Precisely. Rejection is out, unless the Irungu guy was a complete megalomaniac. There are two things in Kenya that leads to death in a similar manner;

1. Land dealings
2. Drugs

3. Arms dealing... for SS
Life is short. Live passionately.

Some interesting questions. They both (Maribe and bf) initially said that the shooting occurred in the house. Then they changed the story and said it occurred outside, outside the gate to the apartment. What are they hiding? If he was shot in the house, who shot him? Maribe? Thugs? or the guy shot himselefu? NB no reports of thugs attacking the house were made.

Detectives doubt if it's a bullet wound.

Going forward she will either be a suspect or a state witness,if the latter then this could also be career ending as an anchor how will she be reporting this given she as interested party, unless citizen decides to blackout the story or give her time off until the case is determined and murder cases drag for years

She could lose her job. Especially now that she admitted to the police that she had seen the bf with a gun in her house and told him not to keep it in the house. She should have reported the matter to the police. Going forward she will never get security clearance to report govt matters or interview govt officials as she has been doing. Also no embassy will ever grant her a visa so all those trips to the US and elsewhere accompanying ohuru are gone. Citizen may have to fire her in public interest. She's finished!

Taken in for questioning for a second day. She could be a guest of the state over the weekend and be charged on monday. When it rains, it pours.
