When it comes to stocks investment, there are a lot to learn, regardless of how much you know.
It is a life long process, but the good news is that the hardest part of the process is the begining. Once you make the commitment, life really does get easier and easier.

Anyone that localised himself or herself to one stock exchange for a life time is not wise.
The 21st century scenerio is that countries economimies are fragile, economic blocks can no longer be acurately predicted, political stability of countries cannot be guaranteed and currencies are susceptible to inflation.
The Egypt and Greece stockmarkets are recent examples Wow @Young, where is he or she ? We need more of such.........

In stocks investment you can only conquer your past by focusing on your future
I bought KQ at 6 in late 90's, sold at 13 in Jan 2005 only to rise to 146 in Sept. I need to conquer my past. @Young. Kudos. Keep em coming The rise in KQ to 146 was not in September of that year but of the following year! But the good thing is that there are going to be even greater opportunities in future than the KQ one. Goodstuff form @Young! Seeing is believing

Purely written with decency and sageness, unlike some of the newer posters laced with venom and blind competition against unknown financial adversaries HF 90,000 ABP 3.83; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45

Stocks on the long term always outperform real estate.
This not completely true , in sub saharan Africa and mainland Asia, real estate has been consistently out performing stocks.
Amen. I hold 90% in real estate and not changing the ration soon. Stability is key as one ages HF 90,000 ABP 3.83; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45
