2022 will be a very interesting election. Many young Kikuyus do not hold on to, and neither do they understand the political hostilities between the Kikuyus and Luos but they fully understand what happened in 2007-8. As we look at Uhuru's legacy, bringing these two tribes together could be a major part of it. I'll be watching from the sidelines. In my humble view, I do not think we should have a Kikuyu or Kalenjin president in 2022, neither did I think we should have had one in 2013 but I'm terrible in politics, the most I can do is cast my vote and the chips fall wherever they will.by the way I support Ruto and if he's still the strongest candidate in 2022,he has my vote.

You hate your kids that much !!!!

By 2022, we shall require a visionary leader and atleast 20 years to undo Uhuru's mess. If you add another 10 years of ruto, the damage will require not less than 50 years to clean up. Your kids lives are toast just like that.

So once again, what did your kids do to you to make you hate them this much ??

My friend, firstly and for your information, I'm intentionally raising my kids not to be dependent on serekari saidia. I'm raising global citizens and Intentionally so. So I'm not worried about the future of my kids. This might sound arrogant but nakuambia ukweli.

But in a democracy, your choice and believe is not necessarily universal and that's the purpose for holding elections. I would ask you the same question "if you hate your kids that much" because of your choice as well but I ain't that insecure, your vote your choice.

Yes, you are not arrogant but you're........

This is very sad coming from a wazuan who is expected to have some basic knowledge.

The kind of leaders you have/elect will make decisions which will affect the present and future regardless of whether your kids will be dependent on or independent from serikali saidia unless you're planning to relocate from kenya

The foundation of all ethnic tension in Kenya is Jomo Kenyatta. Kenyans were united in 1963. He could have further united Kenyans. But he blew it by blatant tribalism, sidelining certain communities from civil service jobs, assassinating popular leaders and creating a siege mentality in his people i.e. making them think that their very livelihood and safety depended on having their own people in power and also displacing his own people.

In 2002 (second liberation) Kenyans were united again. Kibaki had a chance to build on this. He blew it by favoring his ethnic inner circle and allowing them to run riot with corruption. Then in 2007 midnight swearing in ceremony created chaos and warfare killing and displacing thousands. Ethnic relations have yet to recover. Kikuyu businessmen who used to do booming business as far west as Migingo island don’t even feel safe to do so anymore.

Only a president has the power to unite a country. All Kenyan presidents have done the opposite. According to WikiLeaks, UMK was disappointed in Kibaki for failing to unite Kenyans after 2002. He hasn’t tried to unite Kenyans either. Kenyatta created the foundation. Others have built the monstrosity called negative ethnicity

Difficult to judge Kibaki because he was quite unwell in the first years and some people took advantage

I'm not gonna tell you who to vote for or elect but to correct you perception that just because you kids will be independent from serikali saidia they will not be affected by the government in place and the decisions made by those governments

Around 2003 he had a stroke and was probably not fit to run the country. A true statesman would have retired.

And Since he was unwell, he should not have run for a second term. That was also selfish on his side. Not only did he run, but he also had himself sworn in at midnight while the election result was still in question. That’s when the chaos started. That’s his legacy.
