If am not wrong Olonyori is 4.25m and the seller is selling block by block. in my own opinion Olonyori by far outshines all nearby development like everest valley and sunshine paradise( 10KM further down) in terms of top quality finishes. the green areas is almost 1/2 an acre. in 2years prices will be at 6.5m as soon as the mall is done dualling of nairobi machakos highway plus the nearby green terminal. GREATWALL p3 3 bedrooms for cash buyer looks fair inside the apartment but the exterior building structure looks like a cdf school. Even at 4m completion is feb 2015 and might go further while olonyori is ready for accupation

DSTV ports not working in most houses. Sadest thing is not solar water heating installation done despite it being a modern devt. The developer seems to be backtracking on the issue of buying a generator for common areas lighting despite using it as a SELLING POINT. Deposits refunds from an insider big problem if u buy be in it to the end

renting at sunset was not well thought considering the options u had. I bought Olonyori and its the best place around for 2 bedrooms been here 7months its the cleanest and most beautifull with lush green gardens those talking of diapers are lying. The houses are spaceous and biger than everest valley which is 1okm further down. Its only 1km from tarmac on a good cabro rd easier to commute. Safaricom blue bells is next door almost similar but lacks green areas and is expensive at 6.2m yet rent is same with Olonyori at 4.5m. Greatwall is a concrete jungle not a single flower but the 3 bedrooms make it good for rental income. Sheshe gardens has the best finishing and build quality but the location is pathetic and the 2 bedroom is not master ensuite. The 3 bedroom at sheshe is pure luxury but at 8.5m from 6.5m just 2 years ago better go for massionnette.
Your best options for hassle free rental remains bluebells and Olonyori.

d'oh! Premio you have left me discombobulated.

You go and build or buy next to a factory that has been operating for decades then complain of pollution and now want the factory shut down? Who found the other one there?

Police yesterday fired into the air and lobbed teargas canisters to disperse protesters at the London Distillers Kenya Limited in Athi River, Machakos.

The protesters pelted workers with stones after they clashed at the entrance.

Anti-riot police were forced to fire to disperse the protesters as the demonstration degenerated into an ugly war.

The residents, who live in nearby Gate Wall, Green Gardens, Sunset Boulevard, Everest, Hill Crest and Lapset estates, accuse the brewer of polution.

More than 3,000 residents wanted to forcefully enter the company to deliver their grievances.

They were repulsed by workers, causing a confrontation at the gate.

The workers hurled stones at the charged residents prompting a fierce response from the protesters.

Great Wall Gardens Estate Association’s vice chairman Charles Wambugu said the company discharges toxic emissions.

He accused the company of impunity.

“It appears the directors have special forces that we do not understand. Nema has issued orders for the closure of the company yet it still operates," Wambugu said.

There should be zoning regulations. Planning authorities and NEMA shouldn't allow putting up of apartments next to existing industries.

London Distillers now wants the residential estate to be demolished. The distillery has written to Nema, arguing that Great Wall Gardens sits on an industrial zone and should, therefore, be brought down. “We request Erdemann Property Ltd to demolish the said residential properties on the affected plots, failure to which we request the Director General Nema to issue demolition orders forthwith,” wrote Mohan Galot, the billionaire who owns the distillery, in the letter dated February 5, 2018 to Nema boss Geoffrey Wahungu.

Zoning regulations are more strictly enforced in Nairobi county. Mostly developers chose to develop outside boundaries of Nairobi to escape the zoning laws. This reminds of that smelly tannery at Zimmerman, was it ever closed?

Its quite shocking for me that you paying a rent of almost 30k, yet you are still using Footsubishi or Route 11!!! Or is it me that my priorities are not upright?

As you put it priorities, for me home ownwership has always been a bigger priority rather than getting a vehicle. Also, having recently shifted to Nairobi is what has maybe created the need for me to get a vehicle. However, I still place home ownership as a priority.

Why not move to Everest Park? Its closer(a few hundred meters), its on the road so no need to worry about dust or mud and has decent finishing.

Hehehehehehe Sunset Boulevard is many times better than Everest. Weren't those houses Everest blacklisted by the National Construction Authority a year ago over safety standards?
