@Mcreggae,
When and if they stop blaming the Jabulani ball for Heskey's miss and Calamity Green's howler....smile ...BTW,i hope Cameron honoured his word and bought BO the FINEST British lager.

McReggae you're alone on this one. As much as I've never supported the Germans, that was an impressive display last night, all goals sheer class. But I'll reserve my comments until I watch all teams play.

I stand to be corrected..but i don't think the German's game was that top class. I think they just met some poorly organized Australians and they took advantage of that. The Australians played a poor game, they showed their lack of defense abilities, prowess in the game and skill.

smano,
I am not alone broda, in our camp we got reddevil and mwenza!!!

The ogas had a good game against Argentina and a draw would have been a fair result to them, I still hope they can beat Greece and S. Korea to advance from Group B!!!!

Ghana played well and A. Gyan could v\have actually had a hattrick!!!!

England MIGHT win against Algeria and Slovenia but the problem is their group will probably be decided by goal difference (with USA). If they finish second they'll probably face Germany....top the group they'll meet Ghana (and the rest of Africa).

Poor finishing let the Nigerians (read Enyeama down), Nigeria could have come away with a draw. I seriously doubt they'll beat the South Koreans with that display

There are some teams I'll never support in World cup and England, Germany and Italy rank up there - never really liked their style of play though like I mentioned, this years German team impressed me - I'll wait to see how they perform against strong teams.

African teams are generally let down by poor discipline resulting in blood rushing to their heads at critical moments, case in point, when the light Nigerian winger (can't believe I've forgotten his name), ran with the ball straight on goal with a defender chasing and instead of passing it to his open team mate, shockingly ran the ball out!I felt like shooting him myself.

For all the hype about their strike force, Argentina is really just Messi. They'll not beat the big teams with such defenders.

Vuvuzelas are really getting to my skin! I support the ban. France started off on a bad note, i hope they make wiser decisions in the second match. All in all France for the World Cup Trophy!!

Mwenza....So now you think the USA are good?????

Make no mistake they are no pushovers.................Did you watch the confederation Cup? They even beat the fancied Spain. If that is not being good then i don't know what is!!

And if i may ask, why do we have so many 3-lions haters in this forum? Guys here are talking about the english media hype.......Didn't guys realise that this year's Champions League Finals build-up was non-existant? We require media hype in soccer. Period!! For me no hype,No soccer.

Have a feeling Germans are back as a football powerhouse. They are playing like a team should.

@ Njunge, I am with you there, the vuvuzlas should be kept out of the stadium. I would rather listen to the ogas band, the Brazilian samba beat & the drums of other fans. The Germans, Argentines, Brazilians & Italians will make a real run, but Spain will go home by the quarters.
