If Algeria can avoid defeat in their matches, they stand a good chance in their group. Otherwise my teams are Ghana and brazil and spain.

Woooiee!!!.....3 lions....crap!!.Capello avoided fielding disaster James and ended up with calamity Green.

@Pondi,
The same media is now on poor Green.Sample this'

Britain's Sunday newspapers showed no sympathy for England goalkeeper Robert Green after his blunder allowed the United States to equalise in their group C encounter which ended 1-1.

The News of the World, Sunday Mirror and Independent all used the headline, "Hand of Clod" with the Sunday Mirror adding, "Tainted Glove" and the News of the World exclaiming, "Stars and Tripe".

"Green Fingers," read the Sunday Times, while the Mail on Sunday simply lead with, "Calamity".

"Capello to axe clown Green," said the Sunday Express, with the Observer using the headline, "Green slips and England stagger"

Can't wait to see what they say when Algeria overruns them.

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@ McReggae. Verily verily i say unto you, please save yourself the emotional agony of supporting the "over hyped, overated" English team .Discover a team worthy supporting, rather than England. Its vanity. I just cant stand another 44 years of of british hype and exaggeration of the english "world class 2010"superstars.

In a country where Rooney's "metatarsal" or temperament makes top headlines for a long 6months long before the worldcup, the whole world would die of english press euphoria and hype with an English win in the semis, let alone the finals. In the minds of the english press, the english team is comprised of "football gods"
and they cant remember if any other country has ever won the world Cup ever since england won in 1966.

Who ever branded them the "3 Lions" mistook them for "3 little mice".Sometimes i pity these poor english souls. If you watched the England/Brazil quarter final clash in 2002 and the media hype preceding that game, you would know what i mean.

Anybody who watched the confederation cup in SA will recall that this USA team is no joke. They stretched the brazilians to the limit. At one point they were leading Brazil 2-0 before narrowly losing 3-2.

McReggae you're alone on this one. As much as I've never supported the Germans, that was an impressive display last night, all goals sheer class. But I'll reserve my comments until I watch all teams play.

For now my African team is Ghana - most enterprising play so far, I hope Ivory Coast and Cameroon can match it.

If and when there's no African team left, my sights will be focused on Brazil - Spain have Barca football but after the racist Aragones comment I took it out on the whole country.

Holland might impress, we'll wait and see while for Argentina, I hope Messi has a great world cup but I don't see Maradona taking them to the top.

May the best team through out the entire tournament win!
