I had noticed something and wondered if I was the only one seeing it. Most Chinese people I know smoked... they were always Chinese people in gambling dens and dingy red light districts and always wondered to myself if it was just the people I met/saw who were like this... Then while reading Lee Kuan Yew's memoirs I came across the term "Yellow culture". And what I had observed finally had a name... Quote:The term “yellow culture” is a direct translation of the Chinese phrase huangse wenhua, which refers to decadent behaviour such as gambling, opium-smoking, pornography, prostitution, corruption and nepotism that plagued much of China in the 19th century. He declared war on it in Singapore. All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!

But you clearly stated that you know, met or saw those people who are engaged in those activities. What are we supposed to conclude?
