A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What one can be, one must be, and same goes for a fool.

McRa, simonkabz2, its not for reasons of conformity that spacers are not preferred. Simply they are costly in the long run, affect car handling.

Of course, if u fit 2 inch spacers u r in deep trouble, high spd/bumpy handling will be seriously compromised. 1/2 inch have very lil handling effect. Just knw every change u make to raise the car has its pros n cons. Weigh them n decide.

I was faced with the same decision some 1.5 years ago and opted to

-> get a slightly higher profile 65% -> 70%: This had little effect since the suspension was weak and when the car had bebad guys...

-> later replaced springs(kings) and shocks(monroe): This was the real deal - handling and stability drastically improved plus ground clearance.

No regrets. If anything, I'm tempted on my next tyre change to go back to the stock tyres so as to get accurate speedometer readings.

tuvok-as long as your replacement tyre size did not exceed 3percent of your stock tyre size, you don't need to go back to your stock size as the speedo reading is negligeable.
Also higher profile tyres are give a smoother ride for our kind of roads.

@eddyz I did my calculations while changing -> it's about 3% change so should be ok..
Also was advised by the tyre sellers that lower profile tyres have this tendency to get those swellings ...
