@theman sorry again for the long post.
Scientists have differing opinions on whether serial killers are created because of physical or mental shortcomings.
The idea that tomurs or brain damage got more airplay because of John Wayne Gacey who had a blood clot in his brain as a child. he killed some 32 boys by the way.
The truth is no one has proved it one way or the other. Ted Bundy was a very handsome well educated fellow. Others such Fred West and Rose West were upstanding members of the society.
However, when looking at the psychology of psychopaths, it is noted that they have a poorly developed mid brain. There is a section in your brain called the amygdala.
This section lights up when we have emotional issues to deal with. But the rate of this activity is less in psychopaths.
Please note psychopaths are not necessarily serial killers. Serial Killers are a breed unto themselves.
A psychopath just doesn't have any emotional attachment to anyone. They only do things to their own advantage and damn you all. It is treatable though.
A serial killer on the other hand...well no one knows if they care about their victims. No one can claim to be able to treat them as they just have the urge to kill something.
Remember that they are liars in nature and lure their victims by gaining their trust. So how can anyone believe what they say?
One thing is for sure though, they are not devil worshipers but will tell you they are. A devil worshiper believes in the existence of God. A serial killer has no opinion one way or the other.
