we do mix a bit... for example on land "acres" smile but the brits have been changing for a while - not sure when they will completely join us

Depends on who taught you English in the first place. The notice is grammatically correct. The Dutchess didn't deliver a son, she was delivered OF a son. Your suggestion is 'Kenyan English'.

English is not my mouth but if you say she delivered a baby it could mean also mean that she was handed the baby for delivery same way letters are delivered by postal corporation of Kenya.
