These are the guys Americans were fighting against in Vietnam. They killed many of them but they kept coming. The only thing that will stop them is death. Many of the Americans who went back after fighting these guys went back home and went crazy.
The Japanese in world war 2 were the same. I remember watching a documentary in which a WWII soldier was comparing the Japanese to the Germans. The Germans were fierce fighters with heavy machinery and good equipment but in battle if you surrounded 1000 of them and they knew they were surrounded they would surrender. When fighting the Japanese there was no surrender, the battle was only over when the last Japanese soldier was dead even if he only had a knife. They fought to the death, every last one of them.
lakini hawa Japanese surrendered after two bombs.
2 bombs? that's one way of trivializing the effect of the atomic bombs.
Secondly, it's one thing to surrender as a country after such devastation and another thing for an army to fight till the last man. They had Kamikaze pilots (the original suicide bombers). But quite frankly I think it's wiser not to fight till death... there is no profit in just dying!! Ask the American indians... Mwafrika... you kill one of us - we tow the line because this business of dying for pride is stupid! That is why we are still around not because of anything else... We survive for kesho!
If you think about it... there are no old heros or maybe fewer of them. Cowards go home to their wives and breed! heros get recognized mostly by the kids of cowards.
