According to Steve Biko of Hidalgo group... the sell off in safcom is due to foregin selling but mostly due to heavy retail small holders of around 200-500 shares who are not willing to wait for 20cents dividend....

My only question to them is what the hell did they expect??? safcom just paid freaking 8billion in dividends with this coming to a total of 40k dividends for me...

but all this is very welcome... my three targets namely mumias, safcom, KPLC are coming down to very welcome levels where i intend to start buying

@the deal Thats very true because if your broker went the way of discount securities if you own shares you wont lose out but if you had it in cash then you can only receive a maximum 50k compensation....

@vvs, and equity, they are extremely good at stocks, reflect result on your account t+5(minus instant of sale/buy), pick your calls and seem very interested in why you are making the order. Forget beautiful attendants, equity are ok.

Just wondering are the CFCs and Genghis protected by the Deposit Protection Fund? Or is DPF for traditional banks?

Stockbrokers' clients not protected by DPF lakini if there are problems, I think the bank would step in like they did at CFCStanbic FS 2 years ago...
