The president has assented to the anti torture bill

The national coroner service bill got cabinet approval in Dec.

Soon, the dreams of our second liberation heroes will be anchored in the law.

For these two bills, I give the 11th parliament an strong A.

Will this translate to more extra-judicial killing?

Once the coroner's service bill is signed, the police will no longer be investigating unnatural deaths. Even for people who die under their custody.

A good example. The Eastleigh incident. The cops would be obligated by law to secure the scene of crime until the officers from the coroner's service arrive. No more taking bodies to the morgue at night. That will be under a civilian office.

Once the coroner concludes investigations, they forward recommendations directly to the DPP.

You mean "doctored" investigations.

Was she accepted as a real Muslim by the Muslim world ....having championed a homosexual cause and helping refine parenthood to include same sex couples?

My cousin at UoN tells me that some conwoman infiltrated their whatsapp group, then called group members while pretending to be from the finance office asking for details of their parents/guardians. Then the conwoman has been calling the parents, claiming she is calling from finance office, and asking parents to urgently send exam fees of Ksh 5,500 to 0726 673 863 (her no.). Seems she is targeting university students.

I googled the number and this is what i found...She should be put behind bars.

True. All fees are paid to certain bank account numbers therefore anyone sending "exam fees" to a private number is an idiot.

By the way, there are also debt collectors using this con as well. If by chance you find yourself in default of debt, don't just take a debt collector's word. I hear they come aggressively and tell you that the bank or company you owe money to have given them authority to collect and don't want to talk to you. That's the first lie, who would not want to talk to you if you owe them money?

Another con that made my day and took second place to the Thika KCB heist is the con men who went to a one company owned apartment and slipped notices below the tenants' doors in the night with details of change of rent deposit account number. The owners lost over 5m that month.

BBI will solve it

I don't know why I doubted the figure.

To get 5M from units whose rent is 10000 they need to be 500units
If the units are at 50000 then they need to be 100units and if the they charge 100000 then they need to be 50 units. It is not possible to fool 50,100 or 500 guys at the same time.Guys who pay 50k and 100k are enlightened people and will not just act on a note slipped under the door.Me thinks it's a family thing where 1 director asked tenants to channel funds to another account so tenants had no issues with that and did not need to verify. But 5M still sounds exergerrated.

The thug checking in was taking no prisoners. No negotiations and was shooting multiple times to kill. Pure animal. Who now reckons that guns are not a necessity?
