Jeff Mwangemi alias Crucial mundu

Ala, I knew Jeff for Yours For The Asking, Late Date & Sundowner. I didn't know him for reggae, but again, I was not an ardent reggae fan only Jerusalem, Alpha Blondy. That song used to play 10 times a day. The guy was good in impersonification, you would not tell he was the same guy. He was so good in the reggae show everyone thought he was a nutty dread..kumbe guy was bald! i.am.back!!!!

Thursdays 8-9am and a repeat on Monday 2-3pm. Jeff was king. He once made a mistake of stopping in Karatina town around 1995. There was a stampede as everyone was trying to get a glimpse of the man himself. Cops had to help him get in his car. Usisahau papa Charlie. King lion sounds. Everyone had a cassette tape of these guys. Currently reggae has gone mainstream. Even upmarket pubs play reggae music. I haven't managed to outgrow reggae. Every weekday evening am on either ghetto radio or hot 96. Saturday it's milele FM. On YouTube demakufu, kalonje and DJ lyta have amazing roots mixes. In his small way, Jeff started a music revolution that will outlive him many years to come. Reggae music is the only genre that makes as good music now as it did back then. It's also really grown especially here in kenya thanks to the likes of Jeff Mwangize. He never appears on TV! Reggae has staying power. You mean ras Mwangize Dumb money becomes dumb only when it listens to smart money

My greatest guy was John Karani with his beat time programme.Eric Ndeche with the original bridge over Congo .On a lighter note there was Charles Omuga Kabisayeeee. Advice is like snow.The softer it lands the harder is sticks.
