Is there any word on whether this will be a public holiday? (on 27th November)

Well... unless it is election year there is (& shud be) only one public holiday... but u can always take the day off...

Kibaki declared Eid ul Adha a holiday in 2007. But this was part of election goody. The same will be seen in 2012.

Friday 1st Sep 2017 is Eid for sure.

But it seems politicians have been using it as part of election goodies by declaring it a holiday. Now that elections are over, they are quiet about it like church mouse!
