i dont see how airlines which fly in other continents would act as indicators for KQ's perfomance..

vvs - Our strength will be tested vigorously in the next two weeks! Do we panic or do we buy from those who will panic. June 4th might seem like it will never come....

Me... Nakaa ngumu. The soonest I sell is the week starting june 7th. Kama mbaya, mbaya!!

And look at my paraphrasing of Warren Buffett's wisdom...

IMHO, after seeing the Emirates results ( a better proxy for KQ) as well as 4Q passenger numbers, I remain bullish!

kQ sharehlder kaeni ngumu. You can take comfort by the fact that foreign sales are low, (-11%). Turnover is also low, its the locals who are selling. Disclaimer: i'm not a shareholder

@GG - You went in for the very short-term... it seems to me...

I prefer looking at results (tho I dont mind taking profits if I think the price is out of whack) and I think KQ will shine once results come out...

Africa remains their bread & butter... with the highest profits!

@vvs I had spare change and didn't want to stock up on KK as I have a very healthy amount. I was looking to dump KQ immediately after announcement and look at Mumias, which made a good drop today.

Mine was the opposite... I wanted to sell off KK (if the price jumps on 1st) then buy KQ before 4th June...

I like KK... I really do... but I am looking for a quick kill in KQ...!!!

Seeing the profits for 1Q 2010 for Total leads me to think that KK might have an EPS of over 12/- in 2010...

Whoever sells KQ for less than 74.00 is really way out of his/her mind. I peg the target price @ 74.00. And u know technical analysis never lies. Obviously there are those who 'll c an increase of 3/= and sell tha whole lot. LOL.

Those Embraers were an inspired lease/buy. Very economical to run, and can be deployed on routes that can't justify 737 plus they can add frequencies on routes like Msa. They are also very appropriate for opening up Africa - Juba, Lubumbashi etc.
