When it comes to computing the list of the Richest fellows around, the most reliable one is when tabulatin using holdings in publicly listed companies as shareholding is known then adding some of the real estate whose valuation can be generated. But, when it comes to family wealth and even the cash accumulated from say not so clean business for instance the pharmacists (where most money is) the values are more often ignored as there is no basis for valuation. Remember there is one ninja called PAblo Escobar who had sooo much that he once promised to pay off Columbia's entire debt if elected, he was never on a 'richest list' because of the nature of his business.
