I have been reading through old threads (those posted before I joined the forum) and I have to admit that guys back then were real professionals (or so it seems). The admin should therefore put a special place in these threads because they can be a real source of inspiration.
1. Playing the market- A New Year Resolution (2010)
Link: http://www.wazua.co.ke/f...sts&t=5551&p=19
User: Stocksmaster
NSE Return that year = 38.5%
Stocksmaster's return that year = 109.7%!!
Beat the market by a factor of 2.85.
2. My picks for 2014 (2014)
Link: http://www.wazua.co.ke/f...sts&t=27314&p=5
User: S.Mutaga III
NSE Return that year = 3.7%
S.Mutaga III's return that year = 93%!!
Beat the market by a factor of 25!!
I believe that there are great investors here, and such information/skills will come in handy soon. I chose the above threads because they outline the purchases and sales (they are real, not theoretical). Feel free to provide more links to great threads that may not be available to new investors in the forum. Thank you

Back in 2011, my tutor was cde monomopata. search for his name. Kcb was at 18 - 19 bob, 3 years down it was at 65 ksh.

Lessons learnt;
- The NSE is not the only market or investment window.
- Stay consistent in the game. I was missed that KCB rally coz I was in uni and got distracted by life.
- A lot can happen in a year, let alone 3, 10 or 20, know what you want both in the short term and long term.
- Always be liquid. Always have cash. This means staying healthy and planning for purchases and events. You don't want opportunities to find you cash strapped.

When I watched Muhamed Ali's videos, I wondered if people then, knew they were experiencing a legend.. Sundays used to find me infront of a telly watching Michael Jordan real time! And even then, I knew I was blessed to have experienced him at his prime.

There are currently two threads ....

Some thread on why mortgage is a no no vs renting... took that route of paying rent and took loan instead of mortgage and invested the amount in strategic plots which I disposed off this year making almost 80 percent return.

KQ thread too; kept checking daily for updates. Made me the best returns in NSE; Courtesy of Obiero
