People should try to be nice to one another. If you are married be kind to your spouse and to your children. Try to provide but even more importantly be truthful with your spouse and children. Learn to be able to say, times are hard, I am tired, I am sad, I am afraid etc. These things are always felt but never said instead what happens is people lash out or act out. Children grow up not knowing what they feel but they feel it anyway and are confused. Their parents are "perfect" they have never discussed hard feelings, they are very hardworking, they have always been smart and were always number 1 in their class when they were in school. Their life was 10 times as difficult as yours yet they made it. When a child hears all this and still feels sad about things he only imagines that then it must be me. There is something wrong with me then.

They feel they have no reason to live anymore... This is the explanation of why many people commit suicide as they turn to materials and money for comfort. Money is something that can't buy happiness or inner peace. That is not found in material success.

This is a social disease in the Western World (Europe & america), with about 2.8M suicides every year, of human beings who find no reason to live.

Social Diseases in the Western World

1). There are 27M people addicted to drugs.
2). There are 89M people addicted to alcohol
3). There are 106M people addicted to cigarette smoking.
4). 21M of those die every year from diseases related to their addiction to cigarette smoking.
5). 24M women prostitute themselves legally, with licences.
6). 8 murders or homicides are committed every 19 minutes.
7). 2 rapes are committed every 7 minutes i.e. 400 rapes per day (just like the Uhuru Secondary School case)
8). 3 robberies every 59 seconds
9). 257,000 children that are legally or illegally aborted, killed in the womb
10). 21M children are born every year out of wedlock, who do not know their mothers or fathers.
11). 2.8M suicide every year, of human beings who find no reason to live
12). 275,000 persons locked up in the prisons with industrial complexes

NOTE: And today, the prisons are built as industries. They are no longer built to house and reform criminals. They are built as industrial and major conglomerates compete with one another for contracts to build and administrate these prison complexes because they have found that the labour from prisoners are just like the labour in 3rd world countries (South America, or India). They can have people locked up for 20 years or for life and have them work for free

Unfortunately these extreme things follow a copycat trend where some are emboldened to go through with their suicide when they see another one being reported. Tricky situation.

Main culprits- Drugs and Groups.
Shame, embarrassment ,fear come into play and since they aren't trained to cope with pressures and demands associated with the above, suicidal tendencies creep in.

Doesn't matter how well brought up a kid is.

Add to that a high number of broken families mainly due to divorce, separation or single parenthood at an unprecedented scale.

Among teens the biggest culprit by far is "bullying", and fits very much into the "abuse" context, even cyber bullying, even when it is unknown to the parents and so on, e.g kids (boys) my want to hide their 'weaknesses', teens are very self aware and when you mix them with some overfed kumbaff boys from terrible backgrounds where the mother/workers is/are regularly pounded and bullied by the father e.t.c this kids form a gang in schools and export the behavior from their terrible parents and bully "weak" targets to a point of suicide.
