Keep it going EMMAR and DAMAC in Dubai are doing the same having constructions allover without a blink. Let us have more development to Make Kenya a center for shoppers and Tourism Soon we want to see individual Malls pick and drop shoppers from major hotels, companies etc Some Kenyans are just peculiar and won't believe what happens in Dubai where hotels line up and all have occupancy rate of 65-95% annually thereby making money and employment

Old mutual has had a similar product called i-invest for a few years and with them its not only mmf but also balanced and equity fund & the minimum investment is 10 bob, not 1k like Britam. Though a product that has really impressed me with its innovativeness is CIC's Bima Credo, where buying airtime from them gets you a last expense cover that keeps increasing as you top up. Munga and Wairegi are doing just that welcoming a new investor, doing a good induction so that she can start working towards a common goal. The good is to provide Cash by IFC to finish the Tower and Other online projects (Real Estate may be to come up at Kajiado and other places where they own land) I am informed the fall in price today is short lived and will be compensated by a rise to probably 18 Kshs by end of 2017 After the bank caps everyone seem to have gone down back to basics and the way forward is being taunted as Diversification. The Banks have entered other businesses apart from Banking services. My prayers are with you pastor obiero! But if these are newly created shares being subscribed for (j.mp/2i4HTa0) then my guess is that they ran into capital adequacy issues after resetting their FY reserves based on gross premium valuation methodology (which they adopted in the current year) plus mark-to-market of their portfolio and impairment of some of KES 3.2 Bn in deposits held with financial institutions a proportion of which must be at either Chase or Imperial.
The dilution by IFC therefore became a necessary evil.
The subscription date of 30/12/2016, a day just before the FY books close (31/12/2016) is also an interesting tidbit. They have played their game smart enough to hoodwink ignorant shareholders. When somebody hears 'world bank',feels like Jesus coming to your house physically to dine with u. This is massive dillution, and sooner or later there will be price correction. When KQ's MJ was joining the board, the market in its rendition perceived him as contemporary Jesus Christ of Nazareth. As a matter of fact the rally following the announcement afforded the likes of @Obiero to double their income. Equally traders are most likely to make a killing after IFC expressed interest in Britam stake. .. SMH HF 90,000 ABP 3.83; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45

Passed by Britam Tower and can tell they will open it this year. Are they paying the debt for late opening. How much space is sold now that we have so many building in Nairobi Will the Arab Majid Alfuttaim open a Carrefour Supermarket here? What has made the stock to stagnate after capping though others like KCB, Equity improved. The same can be seen for Coop.Bank that has not done well though remain a major player in Financial stocks. Its price @16.50 quite discouraging

Its price @16.50 quite discouraging Late opening is due to financial constraints The debt that they have has to be paid as construction is going on. How much space is sold is either zero or minimal. Real towers owned by britam is 20 storey and one floor is occupied. Carrefour is not opening a branch there. The stock has stagnated because of poor financial performance and plus the profit warning they issued. Wealth is built through a relatively simple equation Wealth=Income + Investments - Lifestyle
