Seems I'm late to the party. Just as well, from the past few posts it seems like this thread has degenerated into name calling and other kinds of discord.

For those wazuans going to church today (I believe that most people here are Christians?), here's some food for thought:

1. Two creation stories in Genesis (?)
2. No archeaological evidence that Jews were in Egypt (with all those hieroglyphics, its strange no one bothered to indicate that the Nile once turned red).
3. No geological evidence of the Deluge. Also strange that the first human act after finding land is to offer an animal sacrifice (?)
4. Also, no dinosaurs in the bible- but giants, winged creatures (cherubs) and demigods (nephilim).

"if there's a creator, he must have an inordinate fondness for beetles"

They will tell you to ignore facts and believe in fiction. The only evidence they have is faith.

Myths don't need to rely on evidence. And facts are impotent when compared to myth.

@deadpoet and c, are still in the enlightenment confusion.

Faith is all you need. Without faith, there's no purpose to life. Think about it. Everything is based on faith even waking up alive tomorrow morning, many won't.
But you guys haven't answered my question yet, what is the alternative you are offering to worshiping God? Give us an alternative that is not nothing.

BBI will solve it

The many who won't wake up alive tommorow including you and I one day.. is their sleep/death a lack of faith?

'God' is a very generic label. Wewe unaongea ukiwa camp gani? Jevovah YHWH Allah Jesus the universe etc etc...

Alternative unaitisha ni yet another camp another box.

How do you worship?
Do you know when you are worshipping vs when you are not?

When you are not worshipping who are you?

Guys, your views on the following supposition, you wake up one morning to find that all of humanity(you included) has lost the ability to remember, what kind of world would we have? Can man prosper without memory

That to me is a description of heaven.

We would 'see' each other for the first time.

The difference between seeing anything as it is and seeing its label is infinite.

No memory, no world, no humanity.

Actually, two creation accounts Gen.1 and Gen.2.

Two Noah's accounts, Gen.6 and Gen.7.

Two sets of the 10 commandments, Exodus 20 and Exodus 34.

Differing genealogies of Christ and I suppose many other 'doubles' and seeming 'contradictions'...

All evidence of humans consciously and actively creating myth.

In that case the word prosperity would have no meaning. Prosperity would be inconsequential. We would be like the other wild animals.
