Restructuring now begins. Most of you will start seeing things never seen before being done. Watch this space.

Turnaround officially begins.

How many Kenyans applied for that job and who applied?If that jamaa speaks 4 languages then he is quadrilingual?

Unfortunately no Kenyan has the kind of turnaround experience that is needed at KQ. Only Mbuvi possessed something close

Ngunze is not close at all. He has no proven track record.

You can now see the stark difference.

Just wait for serious steps to be rolled out. Ngunze was just relying on MCkinsey.

Waiting to see today's high. Will it knock off 6.80, the upper bollinger band level?
Seems like the stock actually bottomed at 3.30 in September 2016.Last correction only managed a 4.60 in Feb 2017

6.45 and 6.80 are very important points

LOT Airlines is also struggling and facing issues such as being cash-strapped and loss making.
Let's wait to see if the new CEO will succeed at KQ

@Ebenyo
Kenyan CEOs you can get but aren't interested because of the politics involved.

@ArrestedDev... you may be the next Ngunze in another setting, it's good to give people a chance. I think the problem was Naikuni and the Ambassador. Mr. Ngunze inherited a company in trouble, though he himself might not have been entirely blameless because he was also an insider during Naikuni's reign.

As they say hindsight is always 20:20. I think looking back it would have been better to imagine the worst going forward, that KQ would dive deeper into losses if the situation was not arrested. Subsequently, have an external guy as Group CEO to give a fresh outsiders perspective and then have Ngunze as deputy CEO for a few years with him eventually taking over.

Surely, a proper succession and business continuity model should be championed by the government for some of these strategic corporations.

One thing which we have to learn as Kenyans is INTEGRITY! That's not to say that foreigners are perfect. I think it would be naive to think that they are perfect. Corruption is so rampant and a lack of INTEGRITY will continue to limit our achievements.
There are too many opportunities all around. Open your eyes and maybe you'll spot one
