@ Karasinga I have been thinking deeply about trading. I discovered the same trend you already highlighted. Individuals tend to see opportunities in completely different perspectives. No wonder others make money while the rest are losing or stagnant!

your observation is right. IMHO, it boils down to:
1. Trading plan- what does your trading plan say about potential opportunities. If you dont have one it means an up tick might indicate an opportunity
2. Order flow- I always ask myself how much break down is there? should the bulls/bears have allowed price to come here? Who is in control at the moment? is the buying stronger or is the selling?
3. direction- no wonder the name of this thread. we retail traders don't move prices....(please read this again). we rely on the power of institutional trading. We must therefore align ourselves with the strength of the market(opportunity). Gut feelings and news have NO role in this business.

I should add on stop loss.A common misconception is that TA is 100% accurate.Occassionally you will get false buy or sell signals.Learn to have stop losses

Aggressive traders are getting in now with only daily trend out of alignment(This explains high volumes seen recently.... not news or gut feelingsmile ). Conservative traders are waiting for daily trend to align with other time frames.
Aggressive does not mean good and conservative does not mean bad.

@ Obiero. With all due respect, I remember you saying the same when HAFR was at 0.8. Have you checked later it printed 0.75 then 1? I am not saying this is a good company ,fundamentally, but that has been an opportunity to enrich ourselves~25%...Taking advantage of price movement. Remember:
1. we are comrades objectively to make money... and

A crappy firm. Greater Fool Theory. Buy HAFR and find a greater fool to buy them from you. Nah, I'll stick to firms that make money from operations ;-)

1st target 247-250
2nd target 277-280

A close above 285 will be important for the bulls.

East African Breweries Ltd Ord 2.00 broke above the upside resistance level of 214.00, 17 day(s) ago. This is a bullish sign. This previous resistance level of 214.00 may now provide downside support. Volume on the day of the breakout was quite heavy--619% above average. This makes the breakout even more significant. If you decide to trade East African Breweries Ltd Ord 2.00, you may want to place a stop loss just below the support level, in case the breakout is premature.
