So she didn't die of cancer? what killed her?

Eternal rest grant unto her oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine on her. May she rest in peace. Amen

Sad. Very sad.
By the way the way the sister you schooled with was her elder or younger sister?

Elder ofcourse! You want to calculate my age??

She was the last born(if I remember well) of 3 very lovely sisters.

May she RIP.

Thanks.

She really had energy in her last few days.
So sad.

The sis told me she was down from early feb,she was admitted beginning of March and had started a different kind of treatment. She has been weak but the death was rather sudden early this morning.
The family (mum and sis) were devastated to learn of her demise from social media.

Given that it was reported she had healed completely, is it that the cancer recurred or was it not healed fully in the first place? Might you know?

From the brief conversation its like the medication and its side effects are what took her down. She has been on continuous medication ever since she came from India and had grown very weak over time.

Doctors in the house.... shouldn't medication stop when somebody recovers? Or how does it work with cancer?
Lord, thank you!

There's no recovery from stage 4 cancer unless by miracle.
It's just controlled medically.

Doctors will recommend chemo (diff stages spanning over a period of time).
But it's not be administered if the body is unstable like in the case of low blood levels, jaundice, internal blockages, low minerals, blood clots etc.
Problem is that many fail to complete the full cycle because of complications arising from the early stages of treatment.
So while you busy treating the side effects through healthy diet in order to get your body ready for chemo, the tumour is feeding ON the same nutrients and in large proportions thus denying healthy cells a chance to thrive.Thats how people lose weight/appetite.. mashida mingi sana
.

As the tumour grows through feeding on your healthy diet and delayed chemo,it starts causing internal blockages, blood poisoning, a myriad of issues.. necessiting procedures such as bypass.
Bypass = slow death.

Seen a body destroying itself? That's cancer.

Among the diseases I dread most are cancer and diabetes...

I have undergone a medical procedure in India to correct a heart anomaly about 8 years ago... I must admit it was quite simple...

But cancer is something quite different... Surviving cancer is indeed a miracle - either the cancer will kill you or the medication will facilitate various organ failures subsequently killing you...

Lost a close relative 1st April 2016 to cancer. Yesterday 1st April 2017, we had gone for his unveiling of the cross ceremony and afterwards is when we learned of Janet's demise. It brought back those sad memories once again!!!

It was sad event... Cancer is a monster... Waaah!!

Cancer treatment is brutal, my heart goes out to George the little kids and Kanini's mother. Nothing prepares you for death of a loved one, nothing. Rest in power Janet.

cancer unlike other diseases is not a foreign body doing this to you but your own! that is why it's so difficult to treat. i have an uncle with stage 4 who is going through Chemo... I guess you just have to put your best foot forward on this matters - right? encourage (but Janet's case is demoralizing as we used to refer to it as a spirits booster). Now? I don't know what else to tell him...

Palliative chemotherapy sessions are prescribed to patients with stage 4 cancer...

The best thing to do now is pray to God for His strength during these trying times - both for the patient and the entire family. Cancer tortures both the patient and the family.

Remember, God always has a plan.

And finally know that one can never get prepared for a relative's death. It's impossible.

Just pray for God's strength...

Pole sana.
What type of cancer is he suffering from?
What symptoms did he exhibit before diagnosis and what stage of chemo?

Wororo,The person looking after a cancer patient requires care and
support.Nothing can prepare one for what lays ahead. It's draining, the patient even wishes death on themselves.
Hope,Faith Diet and Exercise are the only solutions left for stage 4.

It's cancer in the colon. He was misdiagnosed several times halafu hii story ya watu kunyamazia... anyway - 1 day at a time. He has done 9 sessions of Chemo. Waiting until 12 we see if it's shrunk enough for surgical removal before more and more chemo and radiotherapy.
