Does any of you know roughly how how much it costs to thatch a bungalow of 2000sq ft,with makuti - including roof construction and the cost of fire-retarding? I know it depends on design but knowing that thatches must be at least 45 degrees slanting - a range would do. I need to advise a pal. Tks.

When buying shares,ask yourself,would you buy the whole company?

Just wondering,why makuti? A friend has just replaced his roof with Manson Hart sheets (50yr guarantee). These things are aluminium sheets but designed to look like tiles. There are also designs that look like makuti thatch. I'm not sure of the size of his 3BR house,but he spent a little over 350K.

what I Know is the framework is costly... I dont know about Makuti but ati you need heaver mbaos for tiles than for mabati,Budget 100K- 150 for a modest house depending on what you want to use for cover.

1) What is the best deal I can get on duratiles for roofing?

2.) I'm looking for an expert in fixing them. Any leads?

3) What is the approximate cost of roofing with this stuff per square metre?

@Geko

The guy who used 350k,was that house a bungalow or masionette. I would tthink that one of them would be double the cost of the other for the same built up area.

Good people,I am weighing between clay tiles and versatile mabati as my roofing options. Please advice on cost per sq. meter of roofing using these two materials. Thank you.
