Horton wrote:[quote=KenyanEconomist]Any truth to the fact that CMA wanted to restrict Non-banks like Cytonn from offering CMS products? Yes and No. It restricts CMA regulated companies eg Britam from offering this product. Thanks, I am usually passionate about a few things especially when I have invested in them and some "Randoms" check in without proper facts. As I have said time and time again, say something factual with evidence to help us make good investment decisions (which is why we are here)that shows concern rather than scream "ponzi" like kularaha without any basis which I find quite trifling. Eg, there was a time Ericsson made a comment about Centum and I was heavily invested in it, I had defended it until he made very valid points and I sold off all my holdings in it. However, just an observation I made. This chap hasnt been seen on any other thread. Has he?

"The Ridge, which Ms Nkukuu described as a “compact project” will comprise one, two and three-bedroomed apartments that will sell for between Sh7 million and Sh20 million." So one bedrooms will go for 7M plus at Ruiru? OK. Formally employed people often live their employers' dream & forget about their own.

There is a legal loophole in the Capital Markets Regulations that allow companies such as Cytonn to operate as Venture Capital enterprises.
