When you see what church has become today, that is the reason why people like @burglar end up being atheists. There is a lot of deceit in the church. Most smart people raised by church parents, and they manage to rise above the deception, will see the sense and choose the right path somewhere else. Unfortunately, some never get the opportunity to know truth somewhere else, and they dive into astray.

AlphDoti wrote:I totally understand your position. One time I was almost like you, you see I was raised in a Christian family, and as I grew up, started using my brain, analyzed things critically, criticized some things being taught in Church, I realized some things were not making sense... For example, imagine how vast his universe is, imagine how tiny our Earth is when you magnify the universe million times, and now imagine a God who created that vast universe "walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden" with his footsteps boom, boom, Then the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
Can you imagine a God like that? I refused to believe in a God like! I was almost becoming an atheist until I decided to read about the Quran... So brother, read all the religious books and make decision, informed decision, not emotional manipulation carried by some expert religious leaders.. I wrote the above: Wednesday, November 11, 2015 4:22:38 PMI RE-POST THIS BECAUSE @NGOGOYO CLEARLY SAID HE STILL BELIEVES IN SUPREME BEING.

On that thread on capital punishment, you see burglar has his disbelief in religion on the actions of Muslims The reality is, many who defect from the Christian faith aren't bothered with the Trinity or such other things but by the belief in a supreme being They would rather believe in big bang & evolution Most also have not had a deep search for answers in scripture or read it for themselves The faith will continue to bleed faithful, nothing odd. For the Christian faith does not make conversion to other religions a crime like it is in Islam

I have a problem believing in much of the principles like Jesus, Jews, Israel, contentious stories, the bible etc. I do believe there is a higher power and for sure I came from somewhere!
There is a real problem in the current church set up... Elders/officials being holier than thou on Sunday but source of their wealth is evil, immoral etc. Higher power could be anything. Even ancestral spirits

You have been down that road with @guru before Deuteronomy 13:5 A prophet who preaches apostasy must be put to deathDeuteronomy 13:7-11 If your brother, mother, son, daughter or wife leads you from Yahweh you must PUT THEM TO DEATH.... You must KILL HIM with your own hand... You must STONE HIM TO DEATH

So @alphdoti, why didn't Jesus authorise the stoning of the adulterous woman? I also say we have been there before And why wont you start here in wazua executing all adulterers posting boldly here? You have never understood the deeper law that Jesus brought us. You miss the point of Matthew 5 by a whole continent

You miss the point of Matthew 5 by a whole continent This is exactly why @ngogoyo is not able to reconcile all these ridiculously ambiguous and self-contradicting Bible! Ngogoyo wrote:My dilemma... I can’t manage to reconcile all that. Check out Jesus killing the children of the adulteress: Revelation 2:22-23: "So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds." The woman was just committing adultery. This is something common among church goers (of course they call themselves Christians) today: " boyfriend-girlfriend living together" to " one night stand" to " having sex with his date or girlfriend" and "pastors selling sex toys" etc... as clearly mentioned in Revelation 2:22.

Guys. Just become atheists and you won't have to deal with all these dilemmas and doubts or better yet won't have to read AlphDoti posts on Islam, Tycho's demented drivel and Mukiri's retarded sermons.
You should see how peacefully I sleep in on Sunday mornings. Hahahahaha. No church nonsense to deal with. Plus when I finally wake up, my fiance and I get to go chomping on some juicy racks of ribs dipped in BBQ sauce and Washed down with some cold beverages at Spurs for Sunday brunch, using that 10% tithe that we didn't spend on buying pastor Kyuna a mansion in Runda. Lol. Common sense is seriously important in this life.
Sometimes I thank god for making me an atheist. (pun intended). I am a very very happy and content guy. Unlike any theist that I have ever met who all seem to have doubts and questions about their religions and gods, I am completely unequivocal about my choice on atheism. Religions and gods ni shida za kujitakia.

Doti You never cease to amaze That woman in Revelation is not the same case. But you seem to really understand Muhammad and why he had to give you messages from Satan Those sins there are SINS! Done by pastor, backbencher, Muslim or atheist they're sin But Jesus takes us a notch higher: lust is sin too. Not just 'doing it'
