The supply has outstripped the demand today. May stabile at 5.80 though.

When are results coming out. These prices need to be supported by good results.

Capital expenditure determines scoms bottom line. Last year capital expenditure was 20something billion. This means profit for scom can change in very big ways depending on capital expenditure, this however makes the long term picture a bit clearer. This months annual profits report matter little, its worth noting 245billion was transacted on mpesa the past financial year, do the financial models to weigh the significance.

i read somewhere that sterling investment bank had predicted that Safcom will reach Ksh 7.10. IMOHO . that's a dream. kwanza when the price just reaches Ksh 6.00 the wanjiku investor sells lik crazy....pushin the price down....

Now why cannt mumias reach Ksh 20.00. i know the traget price is Ksh 16.00/= but let me consult the gods and hope they can make it reach 20.00/=

Morgan Stanley recently valued SafCom @6.40 so you can expect heavy exits between that and 7.00.. correcting it back.

@guru267, what's your new selling price? supply is much higher than demand with diminishing foreign interest

i,m staying put until i get my sell price of 6.1 bob... this price doesn't seem to be falling due to any reason except waning foreign demand which usually drives the price... since i have a fairly large chunk every 5 cents this share falls i lose a large chunk of money so i,m willing to wait since that was my sell price when i bought the share....

@guru - It's not the foreign investors but the silly/stupid CCK rules... If a consumer does not like safcom, walk away!

I use YU (6/- across all networks) yet I use safaricom data...

how were the volumes today?? nelly data on my account is not working... thin volumes means weak foreign interest to support supply....

i might have to review my position in this counter if there is no change by tuesday next week

Safaricom's ARPU is sure to continue dipping after Zain launched a new cross-network tariff of 6 bob.
But Safcom's HEAVY presence in the retail data segment is sure to more than compensate for the drop.
