so doctor's union officials have been locked up for a month. So how will this help in solving the problem. where a woman rules, rivers run uphill!

I think the magistrate argued that the problem could not be solved whether they were in or out of jail. Having them out was also making them harden their position and getting a solution was not assured. They could not even listen to an experienced trade unionist like Atwoli.

This is a judge bereft of common sense...if courts are our trusted arbiters, she has fallen flat on her face. She has put everyone on the untenable position of waiting for a month, twiddling their thumbs as they wait for the reps to serve out their sentence. Unless the government is hoping to conduct negotiations through cell bars? Can the govt afford to be seen to be idling for 30 whole days while the misery piles out there? Will the judiciary reverse itself? A dog's breakfast this is. A brilliant outcome indeed.
