At exactly 2pm your doctor at Kiambu hospital will be at work...They will have found out that they were corrupted by the jaruo doctor union officials. Thieves are not good people. Tumeelewana?

I know the law is an ass but surely the lawgivers are not supposed to be asses too, or are they? This decision will likely only harden positions. Plus, by buying into the victim/under-dog complex, the Magistrate has handed someone a lease on a future career in politics. If they want Unions to behave the courts should do what the Canadians and Americans do. Fine the entire enterprise a crazy sum, like a 100K for every day in default, as a first option, amount to be paid even if the leaders end up in jail. Having them out was also making them harden their position and getting a solution was not assured. They could not even listen to an experienced trade unionist like Atwoli.

They won't call off the strike and they can't be jailed twice for the same offence. How's that a solution? I care!

This is a judge bereft of common sense...if courts are our trusted arbiters, she has fallen flat on her face. She has put everyone on the untenable position of waiting for a month, twiddling their thumbs as they wait for the reps to serve out their sentence. Unless the government is hoping to conduct negotiations through cell bars? Can the govt afford to be seen to be idling for 30 whole days while the misery piles out there? Will the judiciary reverse itself? A dog's breakfast this is. A brilliant outcome indeed.

Why not just implement the CBA which is cheaper than the offer given to UASU?
