Using the AGP or EGP brackets above, and from purely a statistics and probability point of view, the chances of mean grade upgrades are as shown below

A- to A =1.190%

B+ to A- =3.571%

B to B+ =7.143%

B- to B =11.905%

C+ to B- =17.857%

C to C+ = 25.000%

C- to C =33.333%

D+ to C- =36.207%

D to D+ =33.333%

D- to D =20.588%

E to D- =16.667%

NOTE: These are just probabilities and DOESN'T mean, for example that 25% of candidates with mean grade C would upgrade to C+ !!!

Summary: AGP or EGP as Mean Grade determinant

AGP be retained.

Effort Grade Points (EGP) tallying method rewards extra effort.

EGP = 7 * candidate's_all_subjects_sat_average

EGP can help above-average students best(verb) their mean grade (MG).

All other students, with varying academic strengths, can also improve their MG using EGP.

'E' students have 16.67% chance of MG upgrades i.e. 'power of mercy' on 33,399 E's from KCSE 2016 class.

'A-' achiever has 1.19% chance to best(verb) MG.

D+ chance of MG upgrade is 36.21%.

C- or D have each a probability 33.33% of improving their MG.

Mean Grade would be determined by either AGP or EGP, whichever is better or higher.

The 8th subject score or grade, which is currently unconsidered in MG determination, can be the mean grade changer.

i miss the days we would stitch payjamas and make chicken feeders.we all tried our hand in art and craft and music. some of those E students pursued those in technical institutions.our children today cant even hem their clothes. might not have been the best but had some good components
where a woman rules, rivers run uphill!
