We wait and see but it may take long and yes banking is getting messier everyday. Sounds logical (from a protection of public funds point of view -though it will leave some banks in weak positions if all those millions were to flow out), even if the motives on the part of the mover(s) might not be pure What %age of Coop is owned by Gaament? This bill will never see the light of day.. A better proposal would be for parastatals to seek CBK approval prior to opening of bank accounts or even minimum core capital of the bank to be considered COOP 306,100 ABP 31.96, KEGN 112,100 ABP 10.64, MTNU 131,000 ABP 10.21

What mostly happens (bureaucratic delays for approvals?) is that they go ahead and open accounts then declare the same to Treasury later. Some counties also often negotiate with banks to lend them funds (short-term) to cushion them against delays in receiving theirs from Treasury. I wonder what will become of such arrangements. Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

That meets the 20% threashold, albeit through the back door. Coop is one of my banking partners, I am surprised Member is not qualified, so I will reduce my activities with her. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

Government owns no shares in Coop If that is true then I am surprised...With Coop controlling all those Saccos and the way Saccos impact the common man, the gaamnet should have have a considerable stake in this big bank.
