Tony Almeida is back. From 05 February 2017, we are going to re-start the story of 24 all over again. I promise you, Citizens of the Virtual Republic of Wazua, I will bore you to death about this show. That is not a threat. Sample: Quote:Anthony "Tony" Almeida was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1973 to an Italian mother and a Portuguese father.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from San Diego State University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and attended Scout Sniper and Surveillance and Target Acquisition training.
He was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant and worked as a systems analyst before being hired by CTU. Link:

HisTory restarts. After the first hour and its respondent adrenaline, the comments that viewers post online are simply to die for. I love it already. Quote:It's an evocative opening image on any day of the week, but it's especially cutting considering tensions flaring up over the Trump Administration's immigration ban, not to mention that it's the first thing viewers see directly after the Super Bowl, the most watched event in television.
Given the timing, it's worth asking: is the team behind 24: Legacy at all concerned about how the opening scene and the series at large will play given the current national and international landscape? Link:

Caught the first episode yesterday; the action scenes were great and the new guy suits the role.
Considering how much the world has changed, I however feel that Homeland tells a much better story.

I have to admit, I was quite sceptical about a 24 without Jack Bauer but after watching the first 2 episodes the show is captivating.

Quote:….. 24: Legacy’s overall plot seems rather uncomfortable given the current political climate, almost to the point where it feels like the script could have been written by someone in the current administration trying to justify their recent policies.
……With 24: Legacy, spinning the dial and landing on Islamic extremism once again, mere weeks after President Trump’s executive order to ban immigration from several Muslim-majority countries, almost feels too on the nose, even if this script was written before that ever happened.
…… It’s not just that Carter and CTU are fighting Muslim terrorists.
It’s the nature of the threat that again, could have been written by the Trump administration itself, as it realizes their imagined picture of how much danger America will be in if refugees and immigrants from these countries are allowed into the U.S. Rink:

Both the plots for 24 Legacy and Homeland S6 are similar, but I kinda find Homeland more authentic and gripping. How I wish Quinn was still himself "The purpose of bureaucracy is to compensate for incompetence and lack of discipline." James Collins
