A similar scenario is in the offing for the sub - 10 bob. Safcom is FIVE Waves Up. A major correction is due. I'll be posting charts soon. It is about wave count...I used to sing the same vocals early last year....Everybody scoffed me but now they can see the truth is coming...Safaricom will be bought sub 10bob but after a long period of time. The importance lies in the fact that he is in the cover of major magazine (Sunday Nation Lifestyle is comparably major in Kenya) at a time when Safaricom shares have completed five waves. This market is seriously dumping points in a hurry. It's nearly 400 points down in the last two weeks with absolutely no commercial break. One would have thought some breaks would have been applied by now. Is the market discarding its default setting of a stealth bear? The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.

Safcom's current price is one of the indicators that the bear ain't done yet. The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.

I told you sometime ago that if charts could help project the future many people would be dollar millionaires. I understand only a small percent of people who use technical analysis purely to trade or invest make money worldwide. The rest make loses. Charts are about history of emotions and they can never be predicted. They can only be explained after the fact.
Safaricom fundamentals are still strong. It is HIGHLY expected that they will make more money in 2016 (year ending 31 March 2017) than 2015. It is expected that they will pay same amount of dividend or higher in 2017 than what they paid in 2016 Unless something catastrophic happens that makes this company stop generating the amounts of cash it generates today, you will wait for sub 10 shillings per share for a very long time.

What is the connection between a CEO appearing on the cover of a magazine and the price of the share of his company?
Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Jack Welch, etc are some of the most successful CEOs and have appeared on covers of different magazines numerous times. Why didn't the prices of Apple, Amazon, General Electric, etc fall when their CEOS appeared on magazine covers?

Taking cue from our original post no. 1 here we now have an updated NSE 20 Share Index Chart below. Note that these are Weekly data points. Our wave B completed and now the market is falling in wave C as per our original forecast three years ago. If wave C completes at a point where it is the same length as wave A (Wave A = 6026 - 2576 ), then we should expect the current bear market to bottom at about 1700 level (the blue dashed line). I'll post a daily chart to zoom in on the falling impulse wave which is in blue wave [iii]. It might not be a perfect correlation... but a CEO who appeared on the cover of many publications was the incompetent Naikuni. Another was Michael Matu of Olympia who bought coverage. A CEO who often appears in many publications and has done well is James Mwangi. I'd also add James Mworia [& Kirubi] to the list. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

The CEO in question had his birthday and the reporters wanted a story. If anything, is there a week that goes by with nothing on Safaricom on the dailies? Speaking of which.
