I think tax on gambling is above 16%. And do you know that they never give you this money at once? They structure it over years and that is so unfair!

BBI will solve it

@Maka,

Kindly confirm. I know of a case but in this particular one, dude was offered to choose between after tax lumpsum and payment in annuity (10 years). He opted for lumpsum and with good reason. World over, where gaming houses have closed shop, annuities cease. Exception being state owned lotteries.

@Obiero,
Steve Harvey says 78% end up being broke. Should you win, try and be part of the 22% unless you have the brains of David Lee Edwards!......Anyway, do not believe everything you are told!

I would not be greedy and so i'd buy a house in Karen at 50m and move in, and use the other 50m to buy 4 apartments at lavington to rent out and give me 400k per month. Then everyday would be "furahiday saa ya phombe". No worries, no stress. 400k is pesa mzuri to play around with.

What is the lifestyle cost of someone who lives in Karen? Certainly much more than 400k per month

Easy come easy go. The guy is not mentally prepared for such money, and worse still it was gotten by pure luck, so people around him will feel he should share. That man will know riches, but he will not know peace

What? I did not know that...something to learn everyday huh...anyway, perhaps that is a good thing.
It doesn't have to be all bad...the guy could use financial management 101 right now,..not an MBA, just basics, common sense. It would be nice if the organizers made it a condition to complete one as part of the acceptance procedure.
The same for talent management, for people who receive crazy fees. My former used to conduct such classes for staff (compulsory),...eye openers I tell you.
