2 year bond this week. I reckon interest will be between 12 to 12.5 %

Any comments or predictions.

Maybe a bit higher to 12.9%

What will be the WHT for this 2 year bond?
I doubt it will be 10%, I can guess it will be 15%.

WHT is 15% as normal.

For Bonds it never normal, the government Bonds are very political and the WHT can be anything other than 15%.
Please check the paper first then come back.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL your alleged knowledge of bonds is scary...and weird.

Interesting scenario unfolding...CBK wants bond rates down, market feel otherwise.

So now what will happen with the 20B CBK could not raise?

Someone wazua me this one. I had put in a bid which was successful but was not able to rtgs them chums by Monday 2pm deadline. I figured Tuesday would be late so I scraped it and went on with other business. What does NDO do to the likes of me? Is the Monday 2pm deadline written in stone?

By Thursday this week CBK had obtained 13B of this through tap sale of the same bond at 12.509%. I guess by the deadline next week, they will have received almost all the 20B. They've have won.

GOK employees hawajalipwa coz gava is broke.
Then they come up with a reason that IFMIS has broken down.
Interest payments for gok borrowing due and they take first priority

I’m not an economy expert but i can smell a rat with IFMIS catastrophic breakdown, who is fooling who?
From sources Jubilee regime had to suspend all payments to meet our Army & Police services salaries to avoid revolt.
Jubilee regime is at crossroad they have Eurobond loan to pay 46B to be precise before year closes & there is no money.
There is an emergency meeting tomorrow to address EuroBond payment which is pressing jubilee thus why a holiday tomorrow.

I saw this on twitter and I think it's alarmist wishful thinking. Govt doesn't run out of money it just inflates itself out of debt. For Eurobond the forex reserves are ok. Early days still

My simplistic conspiracy theory is that IFMIS has made to fail to prove that you can't rely on technology without manual back up.
