@hisah
3,000 mark barrier will be broken.
If not in December then in January.
Right now pension schemes and insurance companies are trying to prop up the equity prices to minimise losses but it's hard

Clutching at straws here...

PPT trying hard to ensure the index doesn't break below the 3000 mark.

Since the index is not traded, why would anyone want to prop up the index [vs an individual stock]

PPT held 4000 in Dec 2015, on the very last day. This year holding 3000 will be the aim. Will it be held?

Not anyone individual but gava would be interested to keep it respectable and the economy to be seen to be doing well. I also found it suspicious that one day Safaricom had very many sellers and the next day, very many buyers. The PPT know which stocks to prop..

NSE20 closed at 3074.43 today. 4 points shy of the 2011 low. It seems this minuscule loss pattern is going to be the norm for a while until PPT tires itself out.
The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.

It's been a slow grind, but eventually sub 3100 points has printed. The economy is not doing well. Elections around the corner. Alot of negative mood all round

There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope
