A good lesson for Wanjiku never to invest in a company whose product she can't see, can't touch. Safaricom? Just Kidding but one can't see/touch airtime or even "M-Pesa" or data! It's about the management. In a WEAK defense of ADSS, the original business of supplying "oil explorers" crashed and burned as oil prices tumbled from $120 to $30-50. Then the Ethiopians screwed them over. Some things are hard to predict. Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Is there some kind of market buckstop/automatic buy/prop for stocks whose prices are approaching sub 1bob? I simply find it odd that homeafrica crashed from KES 25 only to find consistent support at 1 shilling. Same to Mumias, ADSS, Marshall, Eveready, Olympia etc. The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.

Was ATS programmed not to permit sub KES 1.00 orders? $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

For purely speculative purposes but it seems you can only purchase the new share offered if you are already a shareholder(pre-emption rights). My speculation is motivated by Paul Ndungu's moves in early 2000's that made him a billionaire Dumb money becomes dumb only when it listens to smart money

Folks down here are making a killing from casinos...sports betting & online casinos have not really taken off...if they invest in physical gaming slots not necessarily casinos they will make a killing...Us Southerners love gambling...in almost every bar there is a gambling machine...people will be drinking and gambling at the same time...it's a way of life...I have seen it across Southern Africa...Another good thing is Southern Africa is less hostile compared to East Africa unless they start in Angola...also income levels are the highest in Africa...I think this company is better viewed as a start up...you know how start ups are...they can fold anytime!
