Hei Guys!
I'm shopping for a fairly price individual medical cover- inpatient and outpatient. Any ideas? I already got quotations from Resolution Health and AAR, which others are fairer priced?
Thanks.

Leylay,

Not all insurance companies offer out-patient medical insurance for Individuals. I was shopping for one last year and i only got 4 companies; the two that you have mentioned AAR, Resolution Health in addition there was the cover with Equity Bank (cant remember the name of the company) and UAP Insurance. UAP insurance as i understand has since withdrawn their it had too many vikwazos and i recall telling them the same at the time. I found Equity Bank ,AAR and Resolution to be expensive especially on the in patient package. Remember AAR restricts you to their clinics. I once had a cover with them through my employer 3 years ago and i found their services (especially) doctors to be wanting. Resolution has been having rumours of financial woes for the last 3 years.

So finally i settled on taking an in-patient cover only with Madison Insurance which is fairly priced.

Has something changed?
I thought NHIF is only for in-patient?

Try and get comparative quotes from Alexander Forbes Healthcare Ltd, Jumuia Place, Lenana Rd
Nairobi.

They have different categories to match if not better than what AAR and RH offer.

@leylah, check with APA also. could be expensive but negotiate the services you require.
