A manual OB is very effective, eg you cannot hack, delete or corrupt like digital systems. Digital capturing does not mean it is better, look at IFMIS.

It is trivial to manipulate pen and paper records but that is beside the point. Any system can be manipulated as long as those trusted to run said system are corrupt.

I am great fun of CIS,NCIS,Criminal Minds etc.
One thing they have in common is how police use technology to resolve cases supported with evidence.
I am looking forward for a day when our police force will start using technology to prevent crimes and arrest thugs.
I remember a day a friend got conned and when we went to the police station, they already knew the guy and where they can find him.
I wondered if we went to a different police station whether they would be able to catch him.
In this era it is unfortunate that the police still have a manual Occurrence Book.
They can easily use a simple CRM to capture all the information on cases and share this information.

I can bet the tip of my pen(get your mind out of the gutter) that london police never recovered the laptop while I can attest to the fact that I lost a laptop in Nairobi but recovered it though reformatted after reporting at KICC police station.

You will be shocked to learn how the police have correctly mapped this city, they know where stolen phones, laptops, cars etc go to.You only need to pay facilitation fee to make our policemen efficient.

As @mavegess keeps on saying, technology doesnt solve anything, it's innovation that does
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

Si ata hiyo Ob book mtu anaweza ngoa page ama ahepe na the whole book. Watumie ka crm ndo mwizi akishikwa Baragoi police n they run the name it pops other priors that the guy had in Mombasa. Hiyo ya manipulation hawawezi form front end coz hawatapewa rights only the database admin can do that.
