I agree with mdowo , the laptop project could have started by first arming our police O.Bs with laptops

The Kenyan one has more info i.e. OB Ref No., time, official stamp, while UK one has only ref no. The kenyan one is issued instantaneously while the Uk one wanjiku has to travel from the police station to the nearest town cyber (eg 250km from baragoi to Isiolo using 1000 bob fare) to open an email address, then travel back to the station to give the email address to the police officers, then travel back to the cyber to access the email and pay to print the doc. This makes the Kenyan system much more efficient and effective, coz what one wants is just the Ref no and not complications and madoido.

I am great fun of CIS,NCIS,Criminal Minds etc.
One thing they have in common is how police use technology to resolve cases supported with evidence.
I am looking forward for a day when our police force will start using technology to prevent crimes and arrest thugs.
I remember a day a friend got conned and when we went to the police station, they already knew the guy and where they can find him.
I wondered if we went to a different police station whether they would be able to catch him.
In this era it is unfortunate that the police still have a manual Occurrence Book.
They can easily use a simple CRM to capture all the information on cases and share this information.

A manual OB is very effective, eg you cannot hack, delete or corrupt like digital systems. Digital capturing does not mean it is better, look at IFMIS.
