For those countries, 2GW (0.2%) is not a big deal but for Kenya, >90% is definitely a BIG deal to add in 3 years.

Just because you don't known does not mean that it can't happen. Ignorance is no defence.

I suggest that you acquaint yourself with Vision 2030, MTPs from 2008,annual budgets, Kengen Strategy outlook (in Financial Statements).

KenGen breaches conditions for Sh18.5bn long-term loans

Well, I guess it is true... It can be done. Breaching the conditions/covenants of the loans that is. As for those who wonder how it was done? Well, it can be done if one borrows away...

No, KenGen by virtue of its majority shareholder is not investable for me.
BTW, this also explains why there was no dividend this year.

*That said, before someone mentions it again... I own KenRe for reasons explained elsewhere but I watch it closely*

What exactly is your point @VVS?

You bash GOK shareholding in one firm then sing praises for the same GOK shareholding in another firm. Are you bipolar or something?

I have no significant shares in any GoK firm but one. I specifically mentioned KenRe [I have given my reasons why this is the only exception] coz that's the one you (& your friends) bring up when I say GoK-controlled firms are a no-no. Good luck with KenGen.

Show me where I brought up the issue of your shareholding in Kenya Re.

The whole of Wazua knows that I have substantial stake in Kenya Re and that I will be alighting at 36-40.
