When Ngunze's departure is announced just after a board meeting convened to discuss the forensic audit then you know that the board is convinced the stewardship should be handed over to someone else.

KQ has never had real competition in Kenya.. Even the losses have always been manufactured

And you want folks to buy into a house of cards? Afadhali nikae na KK which pays dividends.
KQ has little competition in Kenya or even East Africa yet it screwed up big time! Pissed off UG, RW and TZ. Instead of co-opting the governments (& citizens) of EAC, KQ's antics antagonized the others and then the Rwandans started their own airline, TZ is "re-starting" a national airline. Not sure where UG is going.

it didn't take MJ more than a month to figure out you need a manager with sugnificant airline experience at the helm of KQ. We have said it here for so many years yet the ownership took such a poor gamble of putting an engineer and manufacturer and they wonder what hit em.

To lead a competitive firm you will now need good grounding in that industry as a bare minimum. Same mistake with Uchumi before and possibly now.

Ideally the Concorde should have raked in Billions in profits yet it folded shamefully after swallowing Billions in French and British taxpayers' money.

Do you remember I said it and called an aviation quack? The current COO must have done a good job of explaining to MJ the kind of poor stewardship that Ngunze have overseen.

I am not sure of how the message was conveyed to Uhuru. This Company is on its death bed and there is no reason to wait for the unfortunate to happen. Ngunze has overseen the biggest heist in the Kenyan corporate sector. Naikuni's partner in crime.

The Concorde was an aircraft [like 787] so not comparable. I think the only operators were BA and Air France as their governments funded the program. The Tupolev also died and not sure if anyone but Aeroflot operated them.
