Possibly. HNA bought [or is buying] 49% of Servair. It's flagship airline also flies from China to various destinations. It also flies to/from Guangzhou which is popular with Kenyans/Africans [many West Africans use KQ via Nairobi to go to China] for "shopping" and that's a huge market.

It is a force to reckon but not playing the league of Etihad. HNA's airline investments is mostly in China.The strongest airline they own is Hainan which is ranked 4th in China.

These are initiatives that were long overdue. It is originating from the commercial department and not from the CEO's office.
KQ's recovery will only start when a CEO with the right aviation experience takes over next year. There is nothing much going on now.

Round 2 of the rally is about to appear in the next 2-3 months.. I have my ears to the ground as this is not a stock for all.. A high beta stock that could easily make you rich or wipe out your life investment
