Some people here are very arrogant.... They claim to be atheists and the only thing they know is to attack other people's faith. Why would an atheist be concerned about the return of Christ? it seems the only thing they can do to justify their atheism is criticizing what other people believe. It is the only way they can feel good about themselves.
Just because someone has made a few Kenya shillings and he has a car and house he thinks he knows it all and he can come over here and insult Christians or Muslims and what they believe in.
Why don't they discuss the principles and ways of life of atheists and stop attacking the Faiths of other people? Little knowledge is too dangerous ...they pretend to know it all and yet it is just for show off and they know very little.... I urge you to stop these attacks and live your atheists life. Please stop this nonsense.
Actually it's the exact opposite. I get attacked every time religious people hear that I am an atheist. I have even been banned from some people's homes. Lol. Atheists really don't give a flying f*** about you gullible people and your delusions of grandeur. Secondly, I have been mocking god for years and years and years and I am still here. As a matter of fact, I am thriving way more than most people who don't "mock" that god guy are. And guess what, more often than not, I find a way out. Now, the person that left everything for a non existent god to solve digs themselves deeper and deeper into a challenge that could have been solved just by engaging your brain. I have seen this so many times. One of my friends used to believe in prayer even when sick and sijui kuwekelewa mkono and one time this idiot almost lost his life until his folks forcefully took him to hospital. Religious nuts are perishing because of ignorance and blind faith. You have a brain for a reason. I have employed quite a number of people at my businesses and I get to interact with them daily. Almost all of them are religious. Actually all are. Whenever something goes wrong at work and they tell me "hiyo tuwachie mungu", I usually drag their ignorant asses out and find solutions for those issues and let them know that everything that goes wrong can be fixed if you just engage your brain. It's still a work in progress but i am not holding my breathe on them. They are all hopelessly religious to be helped at this point. Living by faith is a cop out and a very very dangerous way to be. I have never ever once lived on faith, I find solutions and I almost always succeed. One of my friends lost his job and "wachiad mungu" his tribulations but this mungu didn't prevent him from having his sh*t tossed out of his house when he couldn't make the rent. I told his story on another thread here. One of the most unwise person I have ever seen in my life. Instead of getting out there and trying to rebound, he started attending church services daily na sijui Kesha and even those lunch time services. Well, i guess this mungu he was crying to every day decided to go AWOL on him as he always does to his suffering sheep. How sad. Soon, you will cry.

Well.... I don't pick needless fights... I have to live with people. My friends and Famo wengi sana ni believers... like 95% or so. I don't want to lose them! So i sip my tea in very many things. Occasionally I prefer to argue by painting a picture on current reality! When @hamburgler was tishwad - I wondered... so watu wako south sudan saa hii wakiRape-iwa and Kuuwawa wamefanya nini? Kuna watu wamefungiwa kwa maContainer za joto outside Juba coz ni wa Nuer. Saa hii kuna watu wanapigwa na polisi huko Uganda and they were minding their own business. If someone thwacks your face and you feel pain, or worse tortures you, then you die, God is the culprit? Why not that someone? isn't that the point? Suffering comes from US!! or Nature! from this chaotic place we call the universe. suffering is a fact of life and existence. People are eaten, they eat! they die of diseases and related stuff. it's JUST HOW THINGS ARE! we live in a chaotic place! the reason you are suffering is because you are in the line of fire at that time... chance! chaos! probability... (this does not require your consent by the way... so "i believe blah blah" don't change it). Are we really in a chaotic space? I can imagine this is a subjective experience or interpretation, and it's possible for one not to suffer. For suffering is dependent on relations, and relations can be changed. Can we have a qaulitative or even quantitative difference is suffering? Why the difference? Suffering is a myth we've reified.

I think human beings should always at the very minimum endeavor to understand that which they do not like or agree with, one would be led to think that atheists are a bunch of arrogant intolerant chauvinists if @hamburglar's and others who concur with his views are anything to go by. @humburglar's breed of atheism is aptly referred to as, 'combative atheism' where you will hear such slogans as, 'if there is a God why does he let us suffer' or 'you religious people are stupid because you worship God', this kind of atheism which was made popular by the likes of Dr Richard Dawkins is shallow,lacks legitimacy and generally gives atheism a bad name but i will say this obiter, its a free world and we are all free to pick our desired poison. The kind of atheism i concur with is the atheism of tolerance and constructive critique of all religious texts and practices without being condescending made popular in part by my favorite scholars the late Dr D M Murdock and Prof. Fransesca stavrakopoulou who is a professor of hebrew bible and ancient religion at the university of Exeter who is also an atheist and i have had the opportunity to attend a number of her public lectures on religion and God.(you can google their scholarly works) when all is said and done, there is nothing and nothing is ether 'One headache for famous medieval holy people was that someone might murder you to acquire your body parts for the relics trade'

Quite frankly i think religion has organized humans for the longest period of time. bila it we would be uncouth. the all watching eye in the sky and the promise of eternal pain if you displease the owner of the eye or eternal pleasure if you please him have kept humans working well. Morals do exist outside religion only with the understanding that we need to work together to make this place work. is religion coming towards the end of it's most productive use? in certain societies - yes. not in ours. it makes life palatable for the poor! All Mushrooms are edible! Some Mushroom are only edible ONCE!
