Building and managing wealth are lessons that most people come to learn the hard way, I disagree with the black dude mentality of the black man always being in survival mode, the Indians have always been in survivor mode, going by the kind of life they left back home when they came to build the railway. The Chinese have also had difficult periods when they adopted the socialist way of life and they had to work in community fields and eat together from community kitchens, they emerged from this by being aggressive money savers and slowly they have adapted consumerism to the fullest.
Africans splashing money is no biggie, whites also do the same don't forget there are whites who have been known to waste all earned or inherited wealth the same way blacks are said to do.
Do not start saying this is the black man blaming others for his shortcomings, no this is a man thinking that creation of wealth goes much deeper than that, it has more to do with an individuals altitude towards the money making concept and his scope to learn from those around him and his own experiences.
